Leather Fedoras

(a poem by Christoph Wilke)

Maybe we should all wear Leather Fedoras,
Then neither Devil nor Man would abhor us.
And walking in urban land under smog streaked skies,
The mighty sun will not hurt your eyes,
And leather will protect your feet;
Why not a hat that gives your head heat?
And grow grass within your shoes?
Protect yourselves from life, oh fools!
But attach lights inside your sunglasses.
The Summer of Love, too hot for the masses.
Angels from Hell are called Hell's Angels.
Living rooms with carpeting and shacks an' cells.

So perhaps we should all wear Leather Fedoras,
Just be certain that the Leather is not Porous!
